If your pitch is disapproved you’ll need to make some changes before it can be re-submitted to us to review. To ensure your revised pitch is approved, we recommend following the below checklist before submitting your pitch again:
Can it be verified?
The most common reason for a pitch to be disapproved is because it wouldn’t pass our verification process. As your pitch is a financial promotion it needs to be fair, clear and not misleading. Before revising your pitch, read our FAQ 'How can I ensure my pitch text can be verified by Crowdcube?'.
Is the business idea clearly explained?
When writing your pitch text, it’s important to remember that you’re not promoting your product or service like you normally would, you’re promoting your business as an investment opportunity. Your pitch needs to appeal to a diverse audience so it’s important your business proposition is clearly and concisely explained in the Idea section of your pitch. You can find more information on what to include in the Idea section, here.
Is the content free of typos and grammatical errors?
We all know it can be difficult to proof your own writing so, we recommend using Grammarly, which is a free tool, a to do a final check of your pitch text to ensure it’s free of typos and grammatical errors.
