Once you’ve submitted your pitch, to help us get to know your business, you'll be asked to provide some basic legal, financial and compliance information. As part of this process we will:
- Ensure your business is registered in the UK or Europe and if the company is part of a group structure, that the funds are being raised for the top company
- Review the business' existing shareholder structure to ensure majority corporate control is not being held by another entity
- Review the corporate history of the directors and any past bankruptcies, CCJs or IVAs will also be investigated further
- Establish if there are any CCJs issued against the business
The majority of these checks are conducted automatically. However, should we need any further information to complete this process, we will contact you directly.
Assuming there are no issues with the information provided, we will begin to review and verify your pitch text. As your pitch is a financial promotion, we will request evidence to verify any material statements included in your pitch text.
