As Crowdcube enables investors to invest any time, anywhere, there isn’t a ‘best’ time to raise finance on the platform. With an average of over £2m being invested on Crowdcube every week, and investments even being made on Christmas Day, we maintain a funding rate of 50-60% throughout the year.
As fewer campaigns launch on the site, your share of voice increases and competition for funds diminishes. What is important is that you’re able to mobilise your own crowd during your raise.
There are numerous examples of campaigns raising significant amounts of investment over periods that would be assumed less busy through typical investment routes, like Crowdcube raising £8m in July and August 2016 and BrewDog raising £10m in December 2016.
We recommend that you launch your pitch in hidden mode as soon as it’s ready so that you can at start sharing it with your crowd and lead investors. Once you’ve hit that first 20% and you’re ready to go we can launch you publicly onto the Crowdcube platform and reset the clock to 30 days.
