Your investors can be your biggest advocates, most loyal customers and a valuable source of knowledge and expertise, so it is well worth keeping all of them up to speed with your company’s latest news and progress. We recommend sending an update to your investors quarterly, with a more detailed update at least once a year. Once you successfully fund on Crowdcube, we’ll provide you with guidance to ensure you keep your investors fully informed and engaged with your business.
As a reminder, whilst we don’t offer legal advice, the legal requirements in terms of investor updates are set out in your constitutional documents and the Companies Act include:
- sending all investors copies of the company’s annual accounts and reports; and
- issuing to holders of A Ordinary shares (i.e with voting rights) notices of all general meeting and copies of all written resolutions to enable them to vote.
